oh trot? some trot?

trot is a korean music genre that started in the late 70s and was a staple of 80s pop music in the country. the vocals are similar to the enka genre in japan, but it has its own flavor that make it stand out. the genre has had a resurgence in recent years and many current kpop idols have started trot careers in side projects or solo songs. this playlist has both old and new trot as well as "nu trot" aka kpop that pulls a lot from trot music while still being modern.
